Collaboration & Funders:
IEC-BC with direct insight from Canadian employers, HR experts, immigrant service organizations and skilled newcomers have built a blended learning employment program called ASCEND. We have collaborated with IEC-BC to provide this program through our organization. We have named the program ACE-IT and it is funded by IRCC.
Program Details:
ACE-IT is an interactive and innovative online program created to develop the soft skill competencies of Canadian newcomers. It is a blended learning built with 7 modules and 6 workshops. Modules can be completed online at everyone’s owns pace and workshops will be conducted virtually. Online content bring awareness and interactive workshops builds confidence. Uneven soft skills which may be a barrier to the recruitment and integration of skilled immigrants will be addressed by providing dynamic and supportive content that enhances newcomer’s confidence. Engaging activities help newcomers showcase their experience. One-to-one employment readiness sessions will assist participants with career planning, resume writing, job search and networking skills. Participants leave the program with the knowledge and soft skills to succeed in Canadian workforce.

CLB level 6 and above
Permanent resident or refugee
Skilled Immigrants with previous work experience
