Summer BBQ Celebration: A Day of Fun, Food, and Community!

On June 28, the Regina Immigrant Women Centre (RIWC) hosted our much-anticipated
Summer BBQ, and what a day it was! With sunny skies, joyful energy, and over 300 clients in
attendance, it was truly a celebration of community and connection.
This special event was generously sponsored by Casino Regina, whose ongoing support
continues to help us create meaningful experiences for the families we serve. From delicious
food to lively music, games, and activities for all ages, the BBQ offered something for everyone.
Children enjoyed face painting, relay races, and a variety of outdoor games, while adults
connected over great food, music, and fun competitions. We also hosted several interactive
quests and activities designed to bring people together in laughter and teamwork. It was inspiring
to see clients, staff, and community members from all backgrounds come together to celebrate
summer and each other.

At RIWC, we believe in the power of building community beyond our programs, and events like this remind us of how strong, vibrant, and joyful that community truly is.
