SIAA Program for Newcomer Women

The SIAA Program is designed to support newcomer women aged 30 to 45 as they settle into
life in Canada. This women-only program provides a safe, welcoming space where participants
can connect with others, build confidence, and develop a strong sense of belonging. The
program includes cultural events that celebrate diversity and create opportunities for social
connection. In addition, participants take part in group discussions and workshops where they
learn about key public services such as health care, transit, fire safety, legal rights, and financial
literacy. To help reduce isolation related to relocation, the program offers wellness-focused
activities and peer support. When needed, women are matched with mentors in their fields of
interest and offered volunteer opportunities to build new skills and strengthen community ties.
All activities take place in small, supportive groups to ensure each woman receives personal
attention, encouragement, and the tools needed to thrive in her new home.
